Too Many People Think Home Ownership is Out of Reach!
Real estate is about the numbers. Some numbers are better than others, some worse. This is a quick glimpse of the latter after the recent publication of a study done by financial consultants at Ramsey Solutions entitled The State of Personal Finance in America 2022. The study covers a broad range of financial topics, and of course real estate is among them. The study revealed numbers that we at PropertyGuerilla.com, and we're sure most others in any way associated with the real estate industry did not enjoy seeing either. It was revealed that more than half (coming in at 51%) of all Americans thought that home ownership is out of reach for most adults as a result of the current real estate market and overall economic climate. Even worse, 65% of those in the study feel that ownership is far more difficult now than it has been over the past decade.
These numbers are so disheartening because when people have certain perceptions, whether right or wrong, there is a tendency to base your actions upon them. Yes, perception is often reality. So, if that many people think the dream of ownership is either far more difficult than in years past, or worse that they believe it to be out of reach, it's likely that their behavior will NOT include day to day activities that will be any different. Even as interest rates continue to remain at levels designed to combat inflation, indeed the opposite of what they should be to invite activity in all markets, especially real estate, housing inventory remains near historic lows. That combination of rates and inventory create a market that will benefit the few, when housing should benefit the many considering it's significance on so many levels.
PropertyGuerilla.com was created and designed as another option to locate
inventory that may not be seen elsewhere! At the end of the day, real
estate thrives on may things, but the one common denominator has always been
communication, and we created a platform where that is the primary focus.
All we're trying to do is to provide more ammunition to everyone, especially
those who think the dream of ownership is beyond their grasp. As Jimmy
Dean stated so eloquently in it's simplicity; "I can't change the direction of
the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination."
